Hello!

It’s been 2 months since I sent my last musing and what a time I have had!

There have been many firsts with Karmen – road trip, camping, star gazing, turmeric lattes (sans coffee), lake swims, swimming without mama or papa helping, nail painting, day camp, and now 5 days of preschool starting this week. Whew.

All through this I have learned – I need more downtime between trips, sleep is still essential, the right soundtrack can make the experience that much richer, food tastes better outside, less is more and more is more, simplify when you can and I’m excited for sweater weather.

Fall is upon us and I’m ready.

I’m ready for a more structured week, to teaching publicly, and getting quieter inside. Summer is the time when I put myself out more socially. I like taking the summer off from teaching to just be. However, when September rolls around, I get excited to get back to a regular teaching schedule.

This fall I’m returning to teaching in studios! I’m thrilled to be joining the Casa Copal community in Kits and to help launch the new yoga program at Ballet BC on Granville Island.

I’m also travel teaching a bit in the coming months – Tofino in October and Kelowna in November. If you’re in the neighborhood, stop by!

Lastly, I’m offering my first training in person since 2020! Join me for a 2 day Hands On Adjustments training in Vancouver in January 2024. This workshop is open to teachers and curious students.

How has your summer been? Did you have any firsts? Are you excited for the coming season? If so, what for?
