Creating Community

The greatest and simplest power of a teacher is the environment of their own freedom and joy. Our obligation and patient commitment to a teacher does not mean we must follow their way for the rest of our life. Over the long run. We must take a teacher or a practice, join a community, and then see how it serves us.

– Jack Kornfield

Hello fellow seekers of truth,

It’s been a heavy couple of week in the States.  It has left me both saddened by the violence/ongoing brutality by law enforcement AND hopeful with the mobilization of activists, on how many people are stepping up and speaking out.

I pray that this will not only create change on a grassroots level but hopefully on a federal level. (( we can all hope eh? ))

I hope you have been joining the conversation in any capacity that speaks to you–albeit reading the news, following the dialogue on social media, reading the history of racism in North America, protesting either physically or with your $$, or speaking with those in your circles about what’s going on.

As Ghandi said so eloquently “Be the change you’d like to see in the world”.

In other news, we are six-days into the 30 Opportunities Virtual Yoga Challenge and are overjoyed by the community support and engagement this week! It’s been amazing to watch you all connect online and hear how you’re moving through the challenge.

If you’ve been thinking about joining us for the challenge, it’s not too late!  The coupon code 30opportunities can be redeemed until Tuesday June 9th for free access to challenge on Practice With Clara

You can also check out Steph’s blog post on community to review the highlights of our discussion this week.

Here’s to joining the circle and coming together as a global community. May you be reminded of all those who practiced before us and all those stepping onto their mat with you as we move into the next week of the Challenge.

Sending you a virtual hug,
Clara & the familia.
