Breathwork facilitated by the incredible Vela

VELA is an Trauma-Informed Breathwork Facilitator and Guide who creates experiences that help people reconnect with themselves. Using somatics, breath, sound and other holistic modalities, she creates experiences that encourage relaxation and deepen presence. Drawing on her diverse training and personal journey, she offers a grounded and compassionate approach and creates a supportive space to slow down, listen, and return to our true nature.

There will be optional 1:1 sessions available to book during the retreat.

Conscious Connected Breathwork is the practice of breathing with intention in a specific pattern in order to shift the state of your nervous system.

Rooted in trauma-informed practice, Vela’s approach offers a gentle alternative to other breathwork styles.  Instead of striving for intense release, it nurtures the body’s natural rhythm and supports the activation of the parasympathetic nervous system (rest & reset). Through this mindful, continuous breath, you build emotional intelligence, resiliency, and reconnect with the wisdom within.

Sessions are 75 minutes in length.

Cost:
$200 CAD
$150 USD

If you’d like to book a session, there will be a sign‑up sheet available when we arrive.

TESTIMONIALS From 2024

“Yoga starting and ending the days, with free time in the middle, was perfect, making it a true retreat. The small size and remoteness of the location was a real plus. The outstanding beach – plus turtles, horses and whales! – was amazing. I appreciated daily meditation, often on the beach. Tai chi/qui gong on the beach at dusk was a highlight. The week was a Life Highlight – outstanding.” – Leslie

“Something Vela, one of the guest facilitators, said is really sticking with me: “you could work half as hard and still produce the same results.” This week reminded me how rest and respite are an essential piece of a sustainable yoga practice. Slowing down made me fall in love with my practice all over again and reminded me why I started practicing yoga. Having the time, space and community to support my practice made each day intentional and unique. This time allowed me to receive some pretty important life messages I would have otherwise missed in my daily life.” – Jess
