Teacher’s Practice

Date: Friday June 16

Time: 2:00 PM – 3:45 PM

Clara is known for her creative sequences. She wants to share her knowledge and curiosity with you – the teachers of Kelowna! Join Clara for a long practice that we’ll co create together based on your requests. We’ll start with a short discussion on poses/themes that have been challenging to teach. From that discussion, Clara will create a class to show ways of offering those poses or themes in a public class setting. We’ll end with a short discussion on how she executed the class. Bring your curiosity and questions!

Lila Flow & Myth

Date: Friday June 16

Time: 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM

Yoga comes from a rich lineage of philosophy and myth from its Indian roots. When we add these components to the physical practice, the textures of experience become more layered. It gives us the chance to not only experience a deeper connection to our bodies but also to our innate wisdom. In this style of class, we are given the space and opportunity to hear our own Truths.

Join Clara for a 2 hour practice that will include mantra, mediation and myth – weaved through a fluid vinyasa practice.

Turn The World Upside Down

Date: Saturday June 17

Time: 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM

Join Clara for a session of Lila/Cosmic Play.
This informative workshop will address all the poses in the inversion family – handstand, forearm stand, headstand and shoulderstand. Class will begin with a vinyasa flow to warm the body, then move to the workshop aspect of the class breaking down each pose – ways to modify and partner work to help each other explore each inversion.

Questions and active participation are encouraged!
This is an intermediate/advanced class, all are welcome who have been practicing for at least 2 years.
