In A State of Contraction

Hi, friend!

As with all things, there is a time and place for expansion and one for contraction. In every breath, we are reminded of this exchange/state/polarity.

Inhale – we take in the world, we fill ourselves up with what is around us, our lungs expand, our chest widens.

Exhale – we engage our abdomen, pelvic floor and press what is inside of us outwards

I’m in a state of expansion. I’m taking in what’s around me, not sure what I’m going to put out. I’m waiting before I act/release what’s inside me.

The team is waiting for me to navigate where to next and focus on. And I don’t know.

This season I have been quiet. Waiting. Listening. Feeling. I feel like a boa constrictor. I’m waiting for the right time to act. Until then, I lie and wait.

I have learned not to quicken the process. I have learned it is better to not do than to do and not be sure. When are we sure? When do we know it’s the right thing to do? The right time to act? The right thing to say?

Shhhhhh…..Be quiet and listen.

I woke up this morning with a mind full of ideas. Nothing concrete. Nothing certain. Ideas dancing in my mind’s eye.

I know this is the beginning of the awakening. I am slowly coming out of slumber. Soon I will know what/where/how.

Until then, I lie and wait.

Family, I leave you with these questions:

What is ruminating in your mind? In your heart?

What is beginning to stir within you?

What are you paying attention to?

Are you in a state of listen or action?

Sending you a warm and gentle hug,

Clara
