Shorter vinyasa yoga practices are an immediately accessible approach to move your body. Yet, if you want a deeper connection to yourself—to really feel what’s going on in your body on a subconscious level—a longer yoga class will help you achieve this state. 

We call this the Flow State in yoga, a place in your body and mind where you feel free and at ease.

You may become more connected to your intuition or feel the sensation that brings you closer to unpacking an emotion or psychological trauma. This is the power of a movement practice like yoga; it’s a form of therapy.

Clara created the Play with a Purpose classes for students to indulge in an experiential practice with all the components of a well-rounded vinyasa yoga class. Ample time to warm up the body, build heat and strength, stretch the muscles, and calm the nervous system through a longer cooling sequence and savasana are included in each of the four classes.

Your yoga practice is a safe space to explore your emotions. You create space to practice to feel your body and express through breath and movement.

Yoga helps you work through challenging postures and shapes that create length in the muscle and surrounding connective tissues.

You may surface blockages and tension you did not realize that you had through your practice. There is a tendency to avoid, suppress, and push aside feelings that explore vulnerabilities and hinder productivity.

Your emotions are stored in your body—everything you’ve ever experienced appears in the body to point out the ruptures from past traumas, psychological stressors, and emotional pain yet to be received and released. 

The body is your map to reveal where you might bring your attention. Your body will tell you where you need to create space or build strength. Your body will let you know when you need conscious rest over-vigorous movement. 

Healing begins when you listen to your body and acknowledge and release the trapped emotions that cause physical and mental suffering. Yoga is an ancient practice to feel the body’s sensations, listen to what it has to say, and let go of the tension causing limitations and disconnect. 

In a 2-hour vinyasa yoga class, you get little meditation, mantra, kriyas, pranayamas/breathwork, and asanas. A longer practice means more time for your body to release energies inhibiting growth and space for you to feel and connect to what you need.

A faster-paced and fiery class that builds heat in the body and strength. This class includes twists, leg balancing, hip and hamstring opening, and backbends.
