Hello, friends!
I got on an airplane for the first time in 3 years this week. After not having the right paperwork, 30 minutes of stress sweating, and finally getting all my ducks in a row, I boarded the plane.
I forgot how much I love flying. Navel-gazing, reflecting on all the things, people watching, reading.
So many ideas come up when I just sit. I know this but seem to forget as I get caught up trying to get through my daily to-do list. My father says, “It’s important to have a day where you don’t plan anything; just let the day take you.” I don’t have that luxury at the moment, but I am able to have a few mornings a week to navel-gaze, which I treasure.
Some of the ideas that came to me high in the air were: starting a monthly lecture series in my living room, having doodle dates while sipping coffee with my nearest and dearest, and a few blog ideas.
I walked off the plane inspired to create.
I ask you –
When was the last time you navel gazed?
Can you schedule in at least 20 minutes where you do nothing in the coming days?
You don’t have to do this alone. The only stipulation is that there’s no plan. Just see where the time takes you.
If/when you are able to do this – what showed up?
Clara
