Teamwork Makes The Dreamwork

Hola.

“Teamwork Makes The Dreamwork.”

Alejandro used to say this to me all the time. I loved the saying but something in me bulked at the cheesiness of the quote.

Fast forward a few years and I’m instilling it into our daughter. It’s a short and sweet reminder of how important it is to work together. How much more efficient it is when two people are contributing to the task at hand, especially when one of them is a 2.5-year-old who is generally fairly selfish – as most children are.

I had actually forgotten about this saying recently and twice today, Karmen reminded me, as she helped me, that she’s making the dreamwork by working with me. I smiled. Yes, Karmen, you are making the dreamwork. Thank you.

Family – how are you making the dreamwork? Who’s right there next to you, helping to actualize that dream?

Dit moi, tell me.
