The Desire for Quiet

Hello, Friends!

The trees are bare.

The ground is littered with leaves and remnants of snow.

The streets are not as crowded.

There’s an overall quiet that has blanketed my neighborhood and my house.

I don’t feel like doing much these days besides reading and looking out the window.

There is a natural desire to slow down and get quiet.

What is above, so is below.

This is not the time to create or bring forth anything new.

This is the time of year to mourn and reflect what is no longer.

This is the time of year to take stock of all that came before.

As we near the darkest day of the year,

May we take this opportunity to feel all the things we have not had the time to feel/process/look at while we were busy creating, executing and busying ourselves.
